Veteran-Owned Small Business

A veteran-led firm built on straight answers

We started IVet Strategies because too many organizations were buying security systems they didn’t need, signing contracts nobody read, and calling it a strategy. Then we went through federal registration and certification ourselves, and found the same problem on the other side of the table.

Our Story

Transforming challenges into opportunities

IVet Strategies was founded in Babylon, New York by leaders who spent their careers where planning failures have consequences. That background shapes everything: we assess honestly, plan against real threats, document what we do, and review the outcome.

Over time we noticed the same pattern across industries. A hospital buys a camera system sized for a building it no longer occupies. A school district runs four badge platforms because four different administrators bought four different solutions. A distributor pays nine vendors for one category because nobody ever consolidated the spend.

None of these are technology problems. They’re decision problems — and they compound quietly until someone independent looks at the whole picture. That’s the role we play.

The second half of the business came out of our own paperwork. Getting IVet registered in SAM.gov and certified at both the state and federal level took months longer than it should have — not because the requirements are hard, but because nothing tells you the order to do them in, which codes actually matter, or what a contracting officer is looking for when they scan a capability statement.

We came out the other side with a map. Now we hand it to other companies — any company, not just veteran-owned ones — so they reach the point of bidding in weeks instead of quarters. We are still in that market ourselves, bidding and subcontracting, which means the advice reflects how it works this year rather than how it worked when a guide was written.

Today we work with companies entering and growing in the federal market, and with corporate campuses, government and municipal agencies, healthcare systems, schools and logistics operators across Long Island, the tri-state area, and nationwide.

Mission & Values

Practical solutions. Lasting partnerships. Results that matter.

Our mission is to give organizations the clarity, tools, and strategies they need to make decisions they can defend — and then to stay until those decisions are working.

Mission

Deliver security, procurement, and operations solutions that measurably reduce risk and cost — with the integrity that comes from having nothing to sell but our judgment.

Vision

To be the firm mission-driven organizations call first when the stakes are real and the answer has to be right the first time.

Values

Integrity over upsell. Clarity over jargon. Accountability over activity. If a recommendation doesn't serve your mission, we don't make it.

What Makes Us Different

Four things most firms won't do

These aren’t taglines. They’re the specific commitments that show up in every engagement letter we write.

01

We turn down work

If your problem is smaller than our engagement, we’ll tell you and point you somewhere better. A consultant who never says no is a consultant selling hours, not outcomes.

02

We take no vendor commissions

We accept no referral fees, rebates, or margin from any manufacturer or integrator. When we recommend a platform, the only thing behind it is a requirements matrix you can read.

03

We stay through implementation

Assessments are easy. Getting an access control cutover done across a live campus without breaking a shift schedule is not. We’re there for the hard part.

04

We baseline before we start

Every engagement opens by measuring where you are — incident counts, spend, cycle times, findings. Without that number, “improvement” is just a feeling.

Our Approach

Objective perspective, proven methodology

Internal teams are close to the problem — that’s a strength for execution and a weakness for diagnosis. We bring the outside view, benchmark it against what we’ve seen elsewhere, and translate it into a plan your people can own.

$0

Vendor commissions accepted. Ever. Our advice has one client — you.

Who We Serve

Who we work with

Companies Entering the Federal Market

Businesses of any size or ownership type that want federal revenue and need registration, certifications, positioning and a capability statement that actually gets read — plus firms already registered who aren’t winning.

Government & Public Sector

Municipal agencies, school districts, and public authorities that need documented, defensible procurement and security decisions that survive audit and public scrutiny.

Corporate & Enterprise Facilities

Multi-site campuses and property portfolios where access control, guard force, and vendor spend have grown inconsistently across locations and need to be unified.

Healthcare & Institutions

Hospitals, universities, and care networks balancing open access with protection of patients, staff, and controlled areas — under real regulatory pressure.
