Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026
IVet Strategies is committed to making ivetstrategies.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Standard we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognized standard and the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act in practice.
What we have done
- Semantic structure. Pages use proper heading hierarchy — one H1 per page, with H2 and H3 in logical order — so screen reader users can navigate by heading.
- Colour contrast. Body text and headings meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. Where our brand gold would fail as small text on white, we use a darker variant rather than compromise legibility.
- Keyboard navigation. All links, buttons, form fields, and the FAQ accordion are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Reduced motion. The site respects the operating system’s “reduce motion” preference. If you have it enabled, animations and transitions are disabled.
- Decorative graphics. Illustrations on service and case study cards are presented as decorative backgrounds without alt text, so screen readers skip them rather than announcing meaningless descriptions. All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text.
- Forms. Every field has a visible, programmatically associated label. Required fields are marked. Errors are described in text, not by colour alone.
- Responsive layout. The site reflows to 320px width and supports browser zoom to 200% without loss of content or function.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you where we fall short than claim perfection.
- Embedded map. The Google Maps embed on our Contact page is a third-party component whose accessibility we do not control. Our full address is published as text immediately beside it, so no information is only available through the map.
- PDF documents. Any documents we publish may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide an accessible version.
Tell us if something does not work
If you encounter a barrier on this site, we want to hear about it — and we will fix it.
Email info@ivetstrategies.com or call 631.910.6240. Please tell us the page address and what happened. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to describe how and when we will address it.
If you need information from this site in another format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — ask and we will provide it at no charge.
Assessment approach
This statement reflects a self-assessment against WCAG 2.1 Level AA carried out in July 2026. We have not commissioned an independent audit. We review accessibility when we make substantial changes to the site.
